INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

Requirements for presentations

All abstracts by participants that have been accepted will be copied and distributed with the conference materials at the time of the conference. Distribution of full papers is the responsibility of each author/presenter. We, however, encourage participants to bring with them at least 20 copies of their full papers for distribution at the conference.

Please note that submitting a full paper is not an absolute requirement for presenting at the conference. The acceptance of an abstract is, therefore, sufficient.

Presentations will take place in the form of interactive lectures.

Those contributing in the form of a lecture have 30 minutes each. These 30 minutes should include around 10 minutes for questions and discussions. Use of visual materials on an electronic format (powerpoint) is very much encouraged. A computer and an electronic projector will be provided at the conference venue. Those wanting to use a powerpoint slide show should e-mail a copy of their show to helgig@unak.is no later than midnight Tuesday September the 20th.

Please note that the sessions on Friday and Saturday will be run parallel to The Nordic Scottish Conference on Rural and Regional Development. This includes joint plenary sessions for both events and also opportunities to attend concurrent sessions associated with both events. For more information on the program of the Nordic Scottish Conference on Rural and Regional Development see http://vefir.unak.is/nsun2005/
