Requirements for a paper submission
Papers should be
submitted by Sept. 7th 2005, given that an abstract has been
submitted and accepted by the conference organizers.
Papers should be in
a word for windows format, font size 12, line spacing 1,5 and main
text should preferably not exceed 15 pages. Graphs and illustrations
are encouraged.
Papers should
include the name and position of the author(s), and the name of the
institute/organization where the author(s) is employed or associated
with, as well as the author(s) e-mail address. Each paper should
start with an abstract of max. 400 words.
All abstracts that
have been accepted will be copied and distributed with the
conference materials at the time of the conference. Distribution of
full papers is the responsibility of each author/presenter. We,
however, encourage participants to bring with them at least 20
copies of their full papers for distribution at the conference.
Please note that
submitting a full paper is not an absolute requirement for
presenting at the conference. The acceptance of an abstract is,
therefore, sufficient. However, 10-12 full papers will be selected
for a publication of the conference proceedings. Only those
submitting a full paper have the opportunity of being selected as
contributors to this publication.
Requirements for presentations
Presentations will
take place either in the form of interactive lectures or as poster
presentations.
Those contributing
in the form of a lecture have 30 minutes each. These 30 minutes
should include around 10 minutes for questions and discussions. Use
of visual materials (slides), preferably on an electronic format (powerpoint),
is very much encouraged. A computer and an electronic projector, as
well as a regular overhead projector, will be provided at the
conference venue. Those wanting to use a powerpoint slide show
should e-mail a copy of their show to
elina@unak.is no later than Friday Sept. 16th.
A special session
will be arranged for poster presentations, where those contributing
in the form of a poster will have the opportunity to introduce their
topic. Poster should be 70 cm in width and 100 cm in height. Posters
can be either in a black&white or colour format. Mixture of texts,
pictures and graphic representations are encouraged. Each
participant is responsible of having his/her poster printed and
brought to the conference.
